Every year in November, there is a challenge for bloggers known as National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo). I try to participate every year but don’t always live up to the challenge. Posting daily can be stressful and sometimes feels forced. A few years ago, I was introduced to NanoPoblano which is a similar challenge but a little less rigid. So, I try to participate in both.
This year I found a Facebook group for the NanoPoblano writers (Cheer Peppers) and have been introduced to many blogs via this group. In this group is a blogger by the name of TwinDaddy, and postings have consisted of 30 Days & 30 Songs. His posts have introduced me to some new music. While I am not following that challenge; I did find today’s topic for Day 14 to be an interesting one I decided to take part in. (His post for today is here if you are interested)
Day 14: A song that reminds you of your significant other or a song that you’d love to have played at your wedding.
Our Song:
An open invitation to the dance
Happen stance set the vibe that we are in
No apology because my urge is genuine
And the mystery of your rhythm is so feminine
Here I am and I want to take a hit
Of your scent ’cause it gets so deep into my soul
Ooh, I want you
Song That Reminds Me of my husband:
I never did believe in miracles
But I’ve a feeling it’s time to try
I never did believe in the ways of magic
But I’m beginning to wonder why
Song at our wedding – My husband and I didn’t have your typical wedding so we didn’t have a wedding song but had we had one I think I would have liked to have had:
When your day is through
And so is your temper
You know what to do
I’m gonna always be there
Sometimes if I shout
It’s not what’s intended
These words just come out
With no cross to bear
And this ended up being an unintentional Music Monday post.
